The 3 basic tools for effective communication

At Boycehypnosis we understand hypnosis as the most effective and direct form of communication. Therefore, the main enemies we find to perform hypnosis are also effective communication. Let’s see each of them separately:

1. Failure:

Since we began to be aware of ourselves and even more since we entered our educational system, they have made us develop the following belief, which we have engraved on fire: “failure is bad”

Everything that implies failing, failing, making mistakes causes us fear and insecurity, which in turn, sometimes, results in guilt, frustration and even damage to our self-esteem. We have been taught to fear failure and feel bad about experiencing it.

One of the barriers that we must pass both to communicate effectively with hypnosis techniques and to live in a healthier way is to re-understand the concept of failure in the following way:

“There is no failure, just learning. When I do what they call failure, making mistakes, failing, I’m actually learning new ways of NOT doing what I choose to do. ”

If we overcome that fear of failure by understanding what it really means, we find that we have a very powerful tool for obtaining information from others and from our actions. If a communication technique or tool does not give the expected result, congratulations!

You have just discovered the way NOT to do it and you should try the following.A journalist once reminded Thomas Alva Edison that he had harvested over a thousand failed attempts before hitting the Tungsten filament, to which Edison replied, “I didn’t fail, I just discovered 999 ways how not to make a light bulb.”2. Positive intention:

Behind all communicative action using hypnosis techniques there must be a positive intention (in reality, although we are not aware of it, the same thing happens behind our behaviors, although now we will not deal with that topic). That is, what we guide that person to, whether it is an idea or an action, must have a positive value both for that person and for us, otherwise we break the communication process on an unconscious level.

The best way to maintain positive unconscious communication and for the other person to “get hooked” on our way of communicating and our message is to always keep that positive intention behind our attitude and our communication.

It seems difficult, but there are very effective techniques to achieve it.

3. We are responsible for the way we communicate:

The meaning of communication is the response we get. For this reason, we must take responsibility for what we communicate and ensure that it reaches our interlocutor clearly.

Things don’t happen FOR something, things happen FOR something. Let us take responsibility for our actions and our lives and within it, our communication.

One of the objectives that we have in Boyce Hypnosis both when training effective communicators and in our therapies is to empower the person over their thoughts, their actions, their interactions with other people and ultimately over their lives.
